The main scope of this application was the inspection for misalignments of two MTU 16V 396 engines after machining the bearing journal pockets of the bedplate. Both engines of the yacht were inspected for misalignments in their bearing journals.
Our team of specialized engineers completed 3D measurements of a yacht’s hull via 3D Terrestrial Laser Scanning Technology (T.L.S.) to create Naval Lines for use in further revamp and designing of the aft side of the inspected yacht. Leica P40 ScanStation was used in order to capture the complex geometry of the hull and the point cloud that was created, was meshed and every essential section was exported in order to create the Naval Lines.

The main scope of measurement series was the high - detailed scanning of the flying dolphin in order to inspect the current trim angles of bow, middle, stern hydrofoils and bow stabilizer. Tabular data and graphs of the comparison between as built and design data as also of ship hull current attitude were the final deliverable.
